The Lost World of Tambun — More Than Just A Theme Park
Ipoh has always been considered one of the best destinations to visit in Asia, and its standing is further strengthened by the Lost World of Tambun (LWOT) — one of only a few theme parks found in the country.
LWOT first opened its doors in 2004 and was built on a formerly mined out land in Ipoh town. Today, the award-winning theme park is a hotbed for tourists and locals alike who want an authentic Malaysian/Ipoh experience.
The land LWOT was built on features a number of natural formations that surround the theme park including limestone hills millions of years old, as well as a natural geyser and hot springs.
Natural wonders aside, the facilities here are top-notch with relaxing spas, luxury restaurant, bars, and other attractions like wildlife and rides encapsulating the typical LWOT experience.
For a no-frills time of exciting adventure, LWOT is definitely the perfect destination for you and your family. In total, there are seven parks to partake in ranging from a water park to an extreme adventure park to even a petting zoo. Though, the highlight for most would probably be the thrill rides.
Last but not least, for a unique dining experience in Tambun, Jeff’s Cellar is where you want to be as the bar is found inside one of the many picturesque limestone caves, which makes for an exotic yet romantic night out.
